Krohn Tawny
Krohn Tawny is aged for three years in small wooden casks of approximately 630 liters. As the Tawny Port ages in the cask, it gradually loses the deep ruby red color of its youth and begins to acquire the lovely amber hue known in English as "tawny". At the same time, the wine becomes progressively softer and more velvety, and its aromas acquire richness and complexity. After three years of ageing and shortly before bottling, the wines are blended to achieve the best balance and harmony.
Vibrant orange color. Nose of ripe fruit, aromas of figs and prunes, enhanced by a woody character and spicy notes. Round and soft on the palate, with the flavors of jam standing out.
